The CeraFusion Seal Edge

Raw leather edges are naturally fibrous. To seal and refine them, we rely on The CeraFusion Seal Edge—a traditional hand-burnishing technique, focusing on structural integrity and a clean aesthetic.

The Process

Using heavy canvas and specialized natural wax blends, we apply precise friction to the leather’s edge. This continuous motion compresses and fuses the raw fibers together, transforming a rough cut into a smooth, seamless surface.

Enduring Strength

The CeraFusion process goes beyond visual appeal. By physically sealing the edge, it protects the leather from moisture and prevents fraying, ensuring the piece maintains its shape and durability over years of daily use.

The Finish

Depending on the design, a CeraFusion edge is either left natural or finished with a premium edge paint. A natural edge remains a living surface, gradually developing a rich patina. A painted edge offers a sharp, refined contrast.

Finished by Hand

At Ben Noah, every edge is prepared and polished by hand. It is a slow, exact discipline, chosen simply because it yields a superior, long-lasting result.
